הרב נסים נחום )1927-1862( היה דמות פעילה ומרכזית
בעולם הישיבות הירושלמי ומחוצה לו בראשית המאה
העשרים, אך דמותו כמעט לא נחקרה ונותרה לוטה
בערפל. רונאל עטיה סוקר במאמרו 'תורת הסוד
שבין האשכנזים לספרדים: לדמותו ופועלו של הרב
נסים נחום' את מפעלותיו של הרב נחום. עטייה סבור
שהרב נחום היה דמות מפתח במרחב החינוכי והתורני
בירושלים ותרם הרבה לפיתוח ולחיזוק של המגזר
החרדי־הספרדי בירושלים בראשית המאה העשרים.

Rabbi Nissim Nahum (1862–1927) was an
active and central figure in the yeshiva world
in Jerusalem and beyond at the beginning of
the twentieth century, but his figure has hardly
been studied and remains shrouded in obscurity.
Ronel Atiya reviews Rabbi Nahum’s works in his
article, “Occult Doctrine Between Ashkenazim
and Sephardim: The Life and Work of Rabbi
Nissim Nahum.” Atiya believes that Rabbi Nahum
was a key figure in Jerusalem’s educational and
Torah world and contributed greatly to the
development and strengthening of the HarediSephardi sector in Jerusalem at the beginning of
the twentieth century.
